This leads to tangled, disordered cotton slivers and significantly increases the difficulty of combing, severely hampering the efficiency of the carding process. The dry environment also causes yarn to lose moisture and reduces fiber strength, resulting in frequent yarn breakages during production that frequently trigger equipment shutdowns and greatly slow down throughput.
