New Odor-Removal Solution for Waste Transfer Stations

Odor control at waste transfer stations is far more urgent than at waste‑compression facilities, and every city and county has numerous transfer stations located near residential neighborhoods. In the past, most such facilities relied on high‑pressure misting, with chemical‑based deodorizing agents being predominant. As environmental regulations have grown stricter and biotechnology has advanced, bio‑microbial formulations are now widely accepted. These microbial agents consist of live, active strains that multiply in the environment, breaking down and consuming harmful gaseous compounds, thereby eliminating malodors without generating secondary pollution.

However, the rapid proliferation of microbial strains often leads to the formation of a biofilm on surfaces. The previously popular high-pressure spraying method resulted in severe clogging and dripping, leaving both facility owners and maintenance personnel overwhelmed without addressing the root cause. To tackle this issue, our company has developed a new deodorizing spray system that eliminates the need for nozzles, high-pressure piping, and high-pressure pumps, thereby resolving these longstanding challenges.

The new system requires no maintenance, features automatic dosing and formulation, and incorporates IoT capabilities. A single smartphone can monitor and control up to 500 deodorization units, while low‑level alerts are sent directly to the app, eliminating unnecessary on‑site checks and significantly reducing labor costs—ensuring that profits are securely realized.
